Has DescriptionhasDescription
- John Murray being duly sworn deposes that in the month of December 1850 large numbers of blacks consisting of the Euro Euro, Widgee Widgee, Buppool and Frasers Island tribes assembled in the neighbourhood of my station. I was daily expecting to be attacked by them, as some friendly blacks had brought word that they intended doing so. In the month of May 1849 I had a shepherd killed by the Blacks, and four hundred sheep driven away. In eighteen hundred and fifty I had a shepherd also killed and two hundred sheep driven away. This was in the month of August. In October I had a man speared his horse killed under him and a thousand sheep taken and destroyed. I have no doubt that all these outrages were committed by the above mentioned tribes.[1]all time · Row 0054 Eid 10660
