Mr. Gibbs met his death while on the Flinders Road, and about the same time the blacks stuck up Mr. Curr's station in open daylight ... The Police Force, continues our informant, in charge of Lieutenant Uhr have far too large a district to protect, and although Mr. Uhr is a most indefatigable and energetic officer, it is impossible for him to visit every part of the district more than once in three months.
