  • Further—a few days previous to the above, two men sawing about six miles from Maryborough, at a place known as the "Six Mile Creek” were attacked. The man at the top of the pit received a blow and bolted; his mate got up to see the cause, and received a dangerous spear wound, and there are great doubts as to his recovery.
