- Last January some men living on Mr. Jones selection situated on Saltwater Creek were robbed while they were working forty or fifty yards from their house the Blacks broke the doors and windows open and stole all their rations and clothing also a large canphor [sic] wood box containing a lot of valuable articles and £10 - 10 - 0 (ten pounds ten shillings) in cash the box and all the money was found in a blacks camp three days after it was stolen by Senior Const.
