- Friday, 14th -Started up the branch on foot to examine the extreme head of the river in about four miles the river became hemmed in with high and scrubby mountains; there is a low gap at the extreme head of one of the tributaries, but it is very tough, and I am not sure I would not drop over into Freshwater Creek tributaries but I shall know before long; was attacked by black with spears, and had to use rifle.[1]all time · Row 1421 Eid 41922
