Has Description of EventhasDescriptionOfEvent
- Actually two events close together in space: 'About the New Year [year not specified] one of my saddle horses came into the camp with a portion of a spear stuck in his rump. … I accompanied one of the troopers down the river, where the soil at the roots of a large gum-tree had been hollowed out by the water. Beneath, it resembled a huge cave. Suddenly the trooper fired two shots into the cave. I said : "What are you firing at?" He replied : "Two fella sit down there." After which he hauled out the bodies of two black fellows, he had shot dead. On our way back, we met the troopers from the Palmer, who were also out for the same tribe.’ (Corfield 1923:93–95)[1]all time · Row 0875 Eid 22596
