  • "Myalls. — For some time the blacks have been causing considerable trouble on the Lower Barron. They have recently speared one or two yearling foals near Harry Barr's sawmill, and killed a cow and calf, besides making several attempts to round up and spear some of Legran's bullocks. The country on the north side of the mouth of the Barron is a favourite haunt of the blacks, as there is plenty of cover, and safe tracks to get away. It appears to us the sooner they are shifted out of that the better, as they may do far more serious mischief than spearing horses or cattle. — Cairns Chronicle" (Telegraph, 23 September 1885, p2).[1]all time · Row 1352 Eid 39518
