[2025-03-19 06:00] lisamegawatts: Strong Galactic Ties: Bond, D-O, and Miyake events align with solar-galactic cycles (~1,500 years), amplified by heliospheric and GCR effects. Long-term extinctions (~26–36 Myr) match plane crossings.
Weak Ties: Milankovitch, Heinrich, and supercontinental cycles are solar system- or Earth-driven, with galactic influence secondary.
Younger Dryas Fit: A galactic nudge (ISM + heliospheric stress) could unify its anomalies, but requires a rare event not fully evidenced.
The geological record shows nested cycles, with galactic context most relevant for GCR-driven climate (short-term) and extinction (long-term) events. What’s your next focus—drilling into a specific cycle or testing this against more data? I can crunch numbers or refine further!

[2025-03-24 22:17] ajaxdavis: nice find
[2025-03-25 00:12] traves_theberge: very nice
[2025-03-25 00:17] traves_theberge: the branding of this is kind of a hot mess. the focus on MCP is kind of weird.. considering thats an addition to the core offering and not the offering itself.
[2025-03-25 00:20] ajaxdavis: i was gonna say the same thing earlier lol

[2025-03-25 16:03] xenonfun: Microsoft has client/server tooling now too: https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/csharp-sdk?tab=readme-ov-file#getting-started-server
[2025-03-25 17:05] ajaxdavis: lol noice. im currently balls deep in reading through their official python lib code
[2025-03-25 17:05] ajaxdavis: can't figure out how they want me to pipe stdin to their python mcp
[2025-03-25 17:06] ajaxdavis: aka shoot me in the face
[2025-03-25 17:17] foxhop.: Lmao
[2025-03-25 17:17] foxhop.: Python for lifon.
[2025-03-25 17:18] xenonfun: hmm yeah I saw that in C# client as well. Only place I have seen that was Core Lightning did all the communication JSON over stdin/out, plus unix domain sockets, its a bunch of pure C, linux kernal devs so makes sense, agnostic for plugins. Web programmers hated it, they finally added a gRPC endpoint, as most people couldn't figure out socat to make it an HTTPish endpoint.
[2025-03-25 17:22] ajaxdavis: lol sounds about right
[2025-03-25 17:23] xenonfun: yeah and reading now seems that was for idea you could just pipe in your bash scripts as MCP results easily.
