[2026-01-28 22:49] xenonfun: kept sprites spinning too long (files: Screenshot_2026-01-28_at_5.49.14_PM.png) [2026-01-28 22:50] foxhop.: wow. [2026-01-28 22:54] foxhop.: shouldn't have unexpected costs with unsandbox, for what it's worth. with or without a partner key. [2026-01-30 01:19] traves_theberge: had my interview yesterday, the white boarding went well enough. could have been better could have went worse. although, i did have them thinking about changing how they are doing interviews in the future in the "era" of agentic coding. which felt nice. had them questioning if psuedocode interviews are even worth it in the future. [2026-01-30 05:32] lisamegawatts: whats a psuedocode interview? i am gonna apply at roo, because i love roo and it works great and is better than other tools and the job is build roo with roo and engage open source community and talk to them about roo. as you can see, i am already doing that unpaid :p [2026-01-30 05:33] lisamegawatts: their hiring stuff had a lot of how do you self identify which i feel is anti-meritocracy, and i have no idea how to do a code interview. [2026-01-30 06:00] xenonfun: I gave psuedocode interviews, mostly because we were doing it in person I really don't expect people to memorize exact methods or such, I rarely did, Intellisense been a thing for a long time. What was important was logical ability, tell me how you are going to solve problem, how you disassemble a problem into chunks and logically express that. [2026-01-30 06:02] traves_theberge: Yeah I had the logic down, they gave me a VB snippet and I basically just commented and added to the function, and answered their questions as we walked through how I would deal with the problems that existed. [2026-01-30 06:03] traves_theberge: It wasn’t pseudocode at all. lol 😂
